and the world's most ugliest thing is ADDICTION
The two things go together like drinking and driving and should be avoided by any means necessary. True love is the greatest of all frustrations bc it can never be fully expressed as Charlie Chaplin once said.
In love I try to practice non-attachment. Not in the sense that I fear commitment, but in the sense that I see my partner as an individual to be respected, loved and admired; not as a possession to be claimed but yet I'm way more complex than that. We are all in a Relationship whether girlfriend/boyfriend, friends, family, and/or business; They all should be dealt with in the same philosophy.
As time goes by WE will all see friends become strangers, co-worker become family, family become co-worker (in the sense that you gotta keep a good "working" relationship), and etc etc....
Here are a few things we all should asked ourselves by stepping away from each situation that occurs...
1) What is this person doing to make my life better? (Financial, mood, networking etc.)
2) How does this person make me feel? (Happy, sad, motivated, depressed, constantly doubting, drama, etc.)
3) How is this person a positive influence in my life?
4) Does this person make me feel good and drive me to be better??
5) Is this person right there behind me when things aren’t that good, or even if they are??
If you are in a relationship, and it is "doing absolutely nothing" for you, makes you feel bad about yourself, just causing unnecessary drama, and ruining things that you may actually care about...why would you want that in your life??
You need to surround yourself with the people that make you feel good, and that will help you get to that next step in your life. that is what a relationship is all about...growing and moving forward.
Surround yourself around people that are making moves, and doing what "they want and love" with their lives....REMEMBER that misery loves company, they will only try to bring you down with them...
but the question is,
Are you strong enough, to not let that happen?
...and then from all those answers yo have to decide if that person is worthy of being a part of "your" life....because it is your life, your show...you decide who you want the characters to be...not the other way around.
Can I get an Amen!!
